Payroll Faceoff exists for one reason: choosing payroll software shouldn’t require a finance degree — or a week of sales calls. Every vendor claims to be “simple” and “affordable,” and every pricing page hides the fees that matter: per-employee charges, year-end filing fees, the jump from “starting at” to what you actually pay.
We’re an independent review site. We don’t sell payroll software, we don’t take demos from sales reps, and we never let vendors pay for placement. Our job is to do the tedious work — reading every pricing tier, comparing feature lists, and combing through verified user reviews on G2, Capterra, and TrustRadius — so you can pick the right payroll provider in an afternoon instead of a quarter.
How we make money: Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you sign up through one, the vendor pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it never influences our rankings — a worse product doesn’t win because it pays better. If we lose your trust, we lose everything.
